The Fitness Connection has been investigating extreme weight loss methods that are claimed to promote massive reductions in only weeks or a few months. If we summarise the fundamental weight loss categories that are available to the general public and exclude severe medically conducted methods like gastric surgery, we have:

1. Dieting – the biggest reason that most diets do not work well for many hopefull dieters is thatb they often impose unrealistic restrictions on how you manage your life. There are so many conflicting diets being sold that it is difficult to be confident that the one you choose will be successeful and perhaps more important – safe. What is clearly understood is that if you reduce the amount of food that you eat, but maintain a nutritionally adequate balance of different foods, you will lose weight.

2. Excercise – another solid fact is that active people do not put weight on as quickly as those who are less active. The more you excercise the more fat you will burn and the more likely you will be able to maintain your ideal weight. As with eating a nutritionally balanced diet, excercising regularly will keep you both fit and healthy.

It therefore would make sense to both eat moderate amounts of all types of food and excercise regularly if extreme weight loss is the goal. The reason why this is a good idea is that extreme weight loss will place as much stress on the body as carrying around the extra weight does in the first place. Eating healthily and excercising will prevent this stress becoming a problem.

3. The third category is being reserved for “fad” diets. These are the diets that claim to help you with achieving extreme weight loss in a short time by eating some wonder supplement. The claims are extraordinary but in some cases they are supported by reports, that are supported by third party evidence, of success with these supplements. The Fitness Connection has trawled through the mass of marketing available in the newspapers and the Internet to find as many independant reports as possible. The work would indicate that there is evidence that these supplements are associated with some very real weight loss successes.

It appears that people lose weight as desired when taking the supplement in association with a colon cleansing routine and also pay attention to some reasonable lifestyle and nutritional requirements.

The Absolute Acai is promoting its extreme weight loss pill on a free trial, which is an indication of the confidence that the makers place in this product. It claims that the pill taken regularly once every day in the morning will prmote weight loss four times faster than either diet or excercise. They say it also boosts energy, is rich in antioxidants and promotes cardiovascular and digestive health.

There is no doubt that some fruit extracts like the Acai berry have been proven in laboratory tests to contain much higher concentrations of anti oxidants and that these are responsible for helping the body in many differnt ways, including disease prevention and propery utilization of foods. When you combine this supplement with a program of colon cleansing which will help to clear the body of toxins and therefore allows the body to burn calories more efficiently.

There is no doubt that supplements such as the Acai pill will benefit you and your diet if they are providing beneficial nutrients. There is also the likelihood that they will assist a sensible approach to your overall eating patterns and excercise regime. It would be surprising if you were able to lose any weight at all if you never did any excercise, gorged yourself with fats and carbs and expected the weight loss pill to pick up the slack!

Similar claims are made for many other foods and drinks, one of the most popular is green tea and other similar items such as Cho Yung Tea. Green Teas have been show to be rich in ant oxidants also. Cho Yung Tea claims similar success as the Absolute Acai promoters do, drinking the tea in association with the same colon cleansing methods.

The Health and Fitness Connection welcome readers comments about their successes with anti- oxidant aided diets and weight loss programs. When embarking on any extreme weight loss program it is always good to consult the experts beforehand. A qualified personal fitness trainer will recommend minimum levels of various food groups and suitable exercise to accompany your routines.
